From the star of books, radio, movies and televison, Hopalong Cassidy was one of the legendary cowboy hereos, many a young child followed and rooted for.

Of the many products put out, one was the tin 1950s Hopalong Cassidy Shooting Gallery.

Ours is in good condition, without box, and, the balls to shoot the targets are long gone (one should be able to find a suitable replacement, if desired to use, and play with it).

To target shoot, you wind the key, throw the lever and the targets roll by, gun-toting outlaws on horseback and one stagecoach.

This comes from the 1950s, and it is the complete package, orginal box and items, of paper pad, pencil and cartoons to draw from.

It heralds "The Big Mouseketeer Roy Williams From Walt Disney's Mickey Mouse Clug TV Show"

And;

"Draw your own catooms like the Big Mouseketeer, Roy Williams"

Also, some classic branding - "You can tell it's Mattel ... it's swell!"

The original box was some wear and tear, however, the drawing tool is in excellent condition.

We have another gem of an item here at 13909 Antiques!

Vintage 1950s Captain Universe Moon Rocket Inlaid Puzzle

And, it's in excellent condition, and you'd likely rather frame it, than play with it.

It comes from Playtime House, out of Rochester, NY, who published jigsaw puzzles back in the 1940s and 1950s.

Along with the blazing title of "Moon Rocket" it also carries copy of "Captain Universe Inlaid Puzzle A-61"

This is a great get for the Vintage Toy and/or Jigsaw Puzzle collector, or, for the Baby Boomer, who was a child back in that era, and was fascinated with Space Rockets and Space Travel, gorging on all the comics, books and movies, just ahead of the great Space Race of the 50s and 60s
