When we say "Real", we mean, you want to get the money out, much like a "Real Piggy Bank", you have to break it.

This comes from the 1950s or so, and, though has some minor wear, is in great condition.

It measures just a shade over 11" Tall.

13909 Antiques has a handful of Vintage Elephant items, but this one is a real gem.

Vintage Repro Cast Iron Mechanical Elephant Bank

It's modeled after the Classic Hubley Mechanical Elephant back of the 1930s, and ours, though a reproduction, is in excellent, and, working condition (there's even a few coins in it).

You put your coin in the slot on the trunk, and then pull the tail. The trunk throws it into the opening in the seat,

When it's time to count your pennies, just unscrew the screw on the side.

If you, or your child, likes animals in your decor, this would make a great addition, or, an awesome gift to the collector of Mechanical Banks and/or Elephants.
