Very Vintage 1924 The Easterns Prayer Framed Art

It comes from 1924, and is also known as "Allah's Prayer", put out by the Buzza-Motto Company of Minneapolis.

It has, on a few occassions, been put to song, and comes from, as Shahed Amanullah says "It recalls a time when Americans were fascinated with Islamic imagery and themes ...", a period of heightened Orientalism.

It reads;

I pray the prayer the Easterners do,May the peace of Allah abide with you;Wherever you stay, wherever you go,May the beautiful palms of Allah grow;Through days of labor, and nights of rest,May the love of Sweet Allah make you blest;So I touch my heart--as the Easterners do,May the peace of Allah abide with you!

Very Vintage 1935 Monopoly Game

Very Vintage 1935 Monopoly Game

This can be considered "Rare", as it was issued soon after Parker Brothers secured the rights to the Monopoly Game (it was originally issued by Charles Darrow, in 1934).

From the site "MonopolyCity.com

In 1935 Parker Brothers bought the rights to the Monopoly Game and began selling it with the Parker Brothers name, and the Trade Mark Label, on the boxes. Only about 25,000 were manufactured. This 'Trade Mark Edition,' - The no 7 Black Box "Trade Mark" game is the ultimate Parker Brothers Monopoly Game for collectors.

Sometime during 1935 Parker Brothers began putting Patent Pending, then Reg U.S. Patent Office, and later patent numbers, on the boxes replacing the Trade Mark label.

Most Monopoly games that were issued between 1934 and 1954 are considered rare and very difficult to find.

This is without the board, as research, and other dealers, have told that the very early editions of the game, you had to purchase the board separately.

And ours is in Very Good condition, including all the pieces, some of which are unique, and not included in later or current editions.

Couldn't find any maker name on it, and, it does have wear, which is appropiate for it's age.

Also, we had to replace the axles, as the wood had deteriorated to the point they could no longer support the wheels.

Other than that, it's all original, and ready-to-roll, whether you want to use it, perhaps to push around your Antique Dolls, or, would make a good display or prop for your home or business.
