Antique German-made Forte Button Accordeon

"Paging Lawrence Welk!"

We have another great, funky item in here, at 13909 Antiques!

Antique German-made Forte Button Accordeon

That's not a misspelling, "Accordeon", is imprinted right on the top of this single-row button music maker, coming from the Late 19th Century, or Early 20th Century, and made in Germany.

It's in good condition for it's age.

Above the buttons, and reeds, carved into the wood is "Steel Bronze Reeds", and one reed is bent.

Under the buttons, on the bottom is a small finger, or, thumb strap.

On the back is two key buttons, to enhance the sound and has a hand strap, that shows wear and has a tear in one corner (something that should be easily fixable).

The bellows are in good condition, and there are metal accents on the bellows, front and back board.

If you are a collector (and/or player) of Antique Musical Instruments, this piece is for you.

Yes, another awesome item here at 13909 Antiques!

1942 WWII Know Your Plane Plane-O-Graphs

This was put out by Plane Facts, Inc. in New Yory, and, with the copy in the two corners of the paper envelope, urging "Let's Go U.S.A! Keep'em Flying", we have two Know Your Planes Plane-O-Graphs, one in reasonably good condition, showing some use, the other, with some stains, in fair condition (the envelope for them is pretty beat up).

On the reverse side of the Plane-O-Graphs are Squadron Insignia, in Full Color.

Planes shown were drawn from Official United States Army Photographs, offering;

"Giving Official Speeds, Sizes Armaments* (Where speeds, size and armaments are not given the War Department has considered that information to be a military secret)"

They are;

 "Official United States Army Fighters, Light And Heavy Bombers And Transports. All The Army Planes Can Easily Be Recognized In Flight By Using The Plane-O-Graph. Check Your Planes In Flight!"

This is a good get for the collector of WWII Items, someone into WWII Airplanes, or a Veteran who would like to teach his children, or grandchildren, about the Army Airplanes used in WWII

And, with June not far off, and the anniversary of D-Day, this would make a nice gift to a Veteran Pilot.

Antique Islamic Art of Ali ibn Abi Talib - Rare

We're on a roll here, at 13909 Antiques, with another, awesome item!

Antique Islamic Art of Ali ibn Abi Talib

It's in a folding frame, mirror on one side, depicting Ali ibn Abi Talib on the other

This, likely, comes from Iran, during the late 19th and early 20th centuries, in Qajar style.

As one of the experts we consulted on it offered;

"... so will simply say that I have always considered the images of `Ali and his sons Hasan and Husayn to be on the order of a devotional image—not an icon to be worshiped, of course, but rather an aid for contemplating these holy figures, especially `Ali and Husayn ..."

 Ali ibn Abi Talib was the cousin and son-in-law of the Islamic prophet Muhammad, ruling over the Islamic caliphate from 656 to 661;

Ali was the first young male who accepted Islam.[10][11] After migrating to Medina, he married Muhammad's daughter Fatimah.[1] Ali took part in the early caravan raids from Mecca and later in almost all the battles fought by the nascent Muslim community. He was appointed caliph by Muhammad's Companions (Sahaba) in 656, after caliph Uthman ibn Affan was assassinated.[12][13] Ali's reign saw civil unrest and in 661, he was attacked and assassinated by a Kharijite while praying in the Great Mosque of Kufa, dying two days later.[14][15][16]

The artfully made frame case has some wear and damage, and one of the hinges is broken, however, all-in-all, in reasonable condition for its' age.

This is, at the least, a tremendous piece of art, historically significant, being of a legendary leader, and religious figure, and, what we consider "Rare", as our research yielded absolutely nothing close to resembling it.

This would be for the serious collector of Islamic Art, and Artificats.

Three Antique Cast Iron Horse-Drawn Fire Wagons

Where's there's smoke, there's fire, as the old saying goes, and we have some items here at 13909 Antiques that would have been put to use.

These are beauties, in very good condition for their age, coming from the either Late 1800s or Early 1900s.

The could be Dent's, or Hubley's, as we could find an markers' marks on them

Each has little fireman with them, drivers, one (the largest one) holding the reins of the horses (this one also lost it's original couplings, so newer screws are holding the horse trains together).

Will sell as a Set, or Individually, depending on who raises their hands first.

And, these are great gets for those that collect Antique Cast Iron Toys, or the lover of anything Fire Department-related.

For our money, Hitchcock's are the Rolls Royce of Rocking Chairs.

In now is the classic Arrowback, made of Cherrywood, and with the Harvest Stain, and all the legendary stenciling, coming from the 1950s or so.

And it is in excellent condition!

Antique W. D. Allison Doctor's Exam Table

"Calling Dr. Howard, Dr. Fine, Dr. Howard! ..."

Having a little fun, not that we endorse the Three Stooges, but it helps to convey the oddball Antique we have in here at 13909 Antiques

Antique W. D. Allison Doctor's Exam Table

This comes from the mid-1800's, one of our client's father was a doctor, who collected a bevy of Antique Doctor Equipment, this Exam Table being one of them.

It's in very good condition for its' age, the only flaw is that about 6" of decorative relief work is missing on one side.

It's Oak, that has, at some point, been painted black.

And, all the parts work, including

The Brass Stirrups can be put at different heights

The Head and Footer can be raised to various levels

The Floor Pedal to open the trash comparment functions

It has two draws for storage, and, under the top board, near the stirrups, is a sink.

If you intend on purchasing this, bring a bevy of friends, as this piece is quite heavy.

If you are a Doctor, or not, that collects Antique Medical Equipment, this piece is for you.

We can speculate on any number of uses for it, such as, a kitchen work table, with having a sink, a work table for your gardening, as it could also serve as a base, and be rather funky, for your large television, or other electronics.
