Vintage 1943 FBI Wanted Poster

Maurice Denning, of Lee County, Iowa was wanted for Bank Robbery.

Along with his fingerprints, his physicial statistics, aliases (and he wasn't very creative, just changing his first name, but also was known as "Bubbles"), and his relatives, it also offers his Criminal Record, and he has been convicted three-tmes in Iowa.

He was indicted in Lincoln, Nebraska, on December 14, 1934, charged with Bank Robbery of the Security National Bank, Nebraska, on November 22,1934, and is also wanted in numerous other bank robberies.

And, he was quite the gangster, part of the Denning -Keeling-Harper Mob, wno robbed banks in Nebraska, South Dakota, Kansas and Iowa, and is accused of taking part in the "Kansas City Massacre" back on June 16, 1933, in which two FBI Agents, two Kansas City Detectives, and a prisoner pal, were gunned down and killed (speculated that the plot was to kill the gang member who was caught to silience him, versus trying to free him);
"A Chevrolet sedan then pulled into a parking spot a short distance from where McElroy sat with Audett. It was parked so that it faced a two-door sedan parked there earlier by agents Caffrey and Vetterli. Three men sat in the Chevrolet, the heavily armed gangsters Vern Miller and Homer and Maurice Denning."
On the reverse side is the address, and postmark (Nov 8, 1943) this Wanted Poster was sent to - The Federal Rserve Bank of San Francisco, Portland, Oregon - and the stamp it was received (Nov. 9th, 1943), as well as list of bank addresses across the country.

And for his life in crime, Denning only spent 6-days in jail, for Bootlegging
